Caitlin Clark Donates School Supplies and Opens New Basketball Court in Des Moines
DES MOINES, IOWA — WNBA star Caitlin Clark made a special trip back to her hometown on Monday to give back to local students.
Clark visited McCombs Middle School, where she handed out backpacks filled with school supplies. She also helped open a brand-new outdoor basketball court — a project supported by the Caitlin Clark Foundation and Musco Lighting.
"It’s always great to be back in Des Moines. This place means so much to me," Clark said. "I love coming here and doing this every year."
This is the second year in a row that Clark has hosted this back-to-school event.
KCCI’s Jeff Dubroff attended the ribbon-cutting and spoke with students who were excited to try out the new court and head into the school year with fresh supplies.
